HISTORY OF CHRIST CHURCH SCHOOL

2012

In February 2012, the front of the school was refurbished. This was the original entrance to the school up until 1999 when a new entrance and adjoining office was built on Batten Street.

The area was resurfaced and redeveloped to be used as an outdoor learning space with a perfume garden that staff and pupils helped to design.

A new brick wall was built to replace the broken railings, the concrete flower bed base which used to be the foundations of a second world war Wardens' Post was removed and the existing blue doors were replaced with new oak doors to both enhance the overall appearance of the school and provide secure access to staff and pupils using the new outdoor learning space.
